In Thailand, there is a famous festival of elephants! It is held on the middle of November in Surin prefecture from 1999. Surin is located in the east of Thailand. It takes about 4 hours from the capital city Bangkok by a car. 
In this festival, about 280 elephants gathered and entertained people. They play soccer or basketball. Maybe if you watch that show, you will be surprised!In Thailand, Elephants are very holy animal and considered as not pets, but members of the family. They are so intelligent as they can draw their own pictures. If you go to Ayutthaya, you can ride an elephant! Please try it!
