Before long summer vacation started, I went to Britain on this school trip! I went to the city, Bath. There is a very beautiful city. I was surprised that the city itself is registered as a world heritage. There were many historical buildings. For example, there are the Bath Abbey, Roman Bath, and churches. I could see them almost everyday.
During I was in Bath, I stayed at my host family’s home. My host mother is Kathy. She is very kind and lovely mother. She cooked English dishes for me every day and let me go to the church. Dishes she made were very delicious! I worried about English food because it is said that English food tastes awful but her dishes was good, so I was glad. Going to the church was good experience for me because it was a first time to go to the church. It was amazing! People were singing together there. But I can’t sing because I didn’t know the song. Kathy supported me every time. I really appreciate her.
And I went to the Bath Spa University with my friends every day. There were many cows and sheep in the university. I was very surprised because it is like a farm! It is different from Japanese university. Thanks to a clear air, I felt comfortable to stay there.
After school, I went shopping to the city centre with my friends every day. There are many lovely shops but almost clothes were too big for me and I like Japanese fashion better than that of British, so I didn’t buy clothes so much. I found the shop I like the best. It is called “Jane Norman”. Clothes that sold there were very cute. I bought one lovely dress there. And I like going to supermarkets. Everything for sale was new for me, so I was excited! I bought chocolate cake every day. It was too sweet, but it was very delicious.
In first Saturday on August, we went to the Corfe Castle and the Swanage Beach. The view from the castle was very beautiful. And I really enjoyed the beach because it was sunny day. I ate “fish and chips” there. It’s a very popular dish in Britain. They say that it is a favourite English dish. Yes, it was very delicious but I think it was too oily. And we ate ice creams there and we touched the water by our legs but it was a little cold. I really enjoyed the beach, so I took a lot of
pictures there. Next day, I went to Bristol Harbour Festival with my friends. Bristol is the city next to Bath. There were many people. We could see world dance and circus and musical performance there. We enjoyed the festival but it was a little cold because of water.
And I went to Stone Henge for the first time. It was amazing! Before I went there, I thought we can touch stones, but we can just walk around the stones. But I was very glad to watch them because it’s very famous in England and I had wanted to go there since before. I also went to Avebury. There are also many stones. I don’t know why stones are put there but it is very interesting.
Before we went to London, we visited to Stratford Upon Avon.
We could visit Shakespeare’s house and his wife Anne Hathaway’s Cottage there. The gardens were very beautiful. I like English garden. And we visited to Blenheim Palace. It’s a very big palace there are many pictures in the palace. I wish I could live there. And then, we went to Oxford. There are many universities in Oxford. I enjoyed visiting the Christ Church University. It is very famous for the movie Harry Potter. I was very excited because I like Harry potter, so I took lots of photos there. After that, I stayed in London for about 3 days. We visited Big Ben, Trafalgar Square, National Gallery, British Museum and Buckingham Palace. We could watch a march of soldiers in front of Buckingham Palace. It was exciting for us! And I went to Kings Cross Station. It is famous as Harry Potter’s station. There is Platform 9 3/4 for visitors. I enjoyed taking pictures there. And I went to Harrods and enjoyed shopping there. Harrods is a very popular department store like Mitsukoshi or Takashimaya in Japan. I bought presents for my family and friends.
I really enjoyed Britain. I’d like to go there again if I can.

On the way to going to London and coming to Japan, we visited Singapore. There is very beautiful country because if people throw away trash on the road, the person has to pay a penalty. We could see MarLion which is famous statue in Singapore and ride a very big Ferris wheel like a London Eye. The view from inside was very good, but it was raining so I felt a little bad. Prices are very cheap in Singapore, so I was happy. And I ate Chinese food and Thai food there. It was delicious.

The following day from I came back to Japan. I and my friends planned the secret party for my best friend. She will get married and have a baby. The party was successful. She was very glad because about 20 old friends gathered for her. I also glad that, so I cried with her. We made a video letter for her and we watched it together. It was very interesting and impressive. I wish she will be happy in the future.

The end of August, I went to Tokyo to go to a-nation. It’s a concert of avex artists. I like Tohoshinki which is Korean group, so I really enjoyed the concert. They were very cool! And I went to Shinookubo which is a Korean Town in Tokyo that day and next day and ate Korean food with my friend. It was spicy but very delicious. I like Tokyo because there is very exciting city in Japan. I’d like to go there every weekend if I can.
